Andy Tottman Managing Director, Financial Planner

Andy came to Chilvester in 2012. He is a very experienced IFA who also is the Managing Director at Chilvester Financial. Andrews main clients are business owners where he advises on Ltd Company employee benefits and the Directors and senior management, personal finances.

When not at work, Andrew enjoys physical activities and entering local challenging events and can often be seen at local clubs and charities which Chilvester sponsor.

Sam Binstead - Chartered Financial Planner
Sam Binstead Director, Chartered Financial Planner

Sam joined Chilvester in 2011. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and carries the Pension Transfer Specialist qualification. He chairs our Investment Committee and his key area of interest is retirement planning.

Sam is an avid reader and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and two dogs. When not in the office, he can usually be found visiting theme parks or riding his Triumph motorcycle.

Simon Foreman - Financial Planner
Simon Foreman Financial Planner, SOLLA Accredited

Simon joined the team in 2005. He is accredited by the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA) and specialises in care fee planning, assisting, and advising upon Powers of Attorney and also divorce asset sharing. Simon went to school and college in Surrey before joining British Gas when he was seventeen and spent time travelling the world with them.

Outside of work he enjoys running, swimming and general fitness. He also enjoys reading and is a keen follower of F1.

David Jones - Financial Planner
David Jones Client Servicing Adviser

David is a financial planner and primarily helps clients who are thinking about or at the stage of retirement. He previously spent nine years in retails banking in branch management roles before deciding to study for his Diploma in Financial Advice in his spare time.

David’s hobbies include cycling, taekwondo and running around after his three children.

Sally Bailey - Paraplanner
Sally Bailey Paraplanner

Sally has been working at Chilvester since 2014 and is the Senior Paraplanner. She has been in the banking and financial industry for over 35 years and has a Diploma in Regulated Financial Services.

Outside of work Sally is ‘mum’ to several cats and enjoys exercise classes.

Gill Shanley - Client Service Administrator
Gill Shanley New Business/Client Support Administrator

Gill joined Chilvester in 2011 having been in the financial sector for over 20 years. In her spare time, she loves listening to Robbie Williams and looking after her 2 cats Kitty and Smudge.

Jessica Tottman Practice Manager

Jess joined us in 2014 and brought with her a wealth of experience, working with both large corporates and small business within the public and private sector.

Primarily she looks after Chilvester and ensures that we run the best way we can.


When not in the office, Jess loves to spend time with family and friends. She enjoys entertaining and exercise. She can often be seen with her husband Andy running or cycling, normally a good mile behind him!

Nickie Binstead - Accounts Manager

Nickie Joined Chilvester in 2017. Coming from a Childcare background, she now has a Level 3 Certificate in accounting.

In In her free time Nickie enjoys arts & crafts with her 2 children, baking & taking long walks with her family and their dog Reggie.

Ian Stone - Practice Manager
Ian Stone Compliance Manager

Ian has been a member of the team since 2017. Financial Services is a highly regulated business. It is the Compliance Managers primary role to ensure we have the correct processes and procedures in place and that the team follow these, thus making sure our clients receive ‘Financial advice you can trust.’

Outside of work you’ll find Ian on plane, he loves to travel – a perk of having a wife that works for an airline! He also enjoys playing cricket for Calne CC and also spends time cycling
and skiing. His two teenage daughters both attend school in Chippenham.

Rebecca Smith Mortgage Support Administrator

Becky supports our mortgage advisers, helping with research and progression of cases. She also works as part of the reception team, ensuring clients have the best experience possible.

In her free time, Becky enjoys being outdoors, either running or taking her pony Dodger out. She also enjoys baking and watching her favourite tv show, “Strictly Come Dancing”!

Sam Harris Financial Planner

Sam joined Chilvester in 2019 and has been working in the Financial Services industry for over 16 years, this makes him one of our most experienced advisers. With a strong determination to always do the right thing for his clients – whilst providing the perfect solutions for their financial planning requirements. Sam currently holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and is working towards achieving Chartered status.

Outside of work Sam loves spending time with his children and watching Rugby, Cricket and Formula 1. Sam is also a keen runner and golfer, although he will be the first to admit that he has lost a little bit of accuracy over the years!

Shane Lucas T&C Supervisor

Shane has over 15 years’ experience within the financial services industry. Shane brings to the team experience from working within a consumer champion organisation over the last 5 years ensuring that our advisers have our customers best interests at the heart of everything we do.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and walking his two French Bulldogs Dexter & Cooper
